Do I Have to Wear Them All the Time?

To get the full benefits of Invisalign, you should wear them for at least 20 hours per day. Eating or brushing your teeth is the only time you may remove them. This orthodontic procedure requires significant time and financial investment on your part. 

What Will Happen if It’s Not Worn Properly?

If you don’t follow the 22-hour rule, your aligner won’t do much to improve your smile. If you don’t make enough effort to straighten your teeth, you will lose a month’s worth of treatment, and your teeth will shift back to their original position. Although many patients enjoy having the freedom to take out their aligners whenever they want, this does not mean you should.  

How Well Does Invisalign Work?

Patients who wear braces for a prolonged period will experience better results if they have only mildly crowded teeth. Invisalign doesn’t work as well for severely overcrowded or severely crooked teeth as it does for slightly crowded or slightly crooked teeth.
